Velcro is actually a term used for a system of fastening two things together. It is made up of two elements, the loop and the hook. Usually, the loop is a somewhat hairy and is made of nylon fabric while the hook can also be made up of nylon but it has tiny hooks that will automatically attach itself onto the strands of the loop. These two are materials that can also be seen on theater costumes and props, bags of handymen and knapsacks.
